Derr Equipment is looking for a knowledgeable, motivated, and agriculture-focused Precision Farming Specialist to join our team in Savannah, Missouri. As a Case IH dealership, our Precision Farming Specialists play an important role in helping customers improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability through precision agriculture technology.
What You’ll Do
- Work directly with customers to understand their precision agriculture needs and goals.
- Set up, install, configure, and support precision farming technology and equipment.
- Assist customers with Case IH guidance, GPS, displays, autoguidance, steering, and other precision agriculture systems.
- Troubleshoot precision farming hardware, software, GPS, communication, and connectivity issues.
- Perform equipment setup, calibration, testing, and technology installations.
- Train customers and dealership employees on the proper operation and use of precision agriculture systems.
- Assist customers with field mapping, data collection, and precision agriculture software.
- Help customers manage and utilize planting, application, yield, and other farm data.
- Assist with technology integration between tractors, implements, displays, and farm management systems.
- Provide in-field support during planting, spraying, harvesting, and other critical times of the farming season.
- Work closely with the Sales, Service, Parts, and Management teams to provide complete customer support.
- Stay current on new precision agriculture technology, equipment, software, and manufacturer updates.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service work, customer information, and technology configurations.
- Assist with demonstrations and customer training events.
- Travel to customer locations and job sites as needed.
- Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- Agricultural background or experience preferred.
- Knowledge of precision agriculture technology and farming practices.
- Experience with GPS, guidance systems, farm data, displays, or precision farming equipment is a plus.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable working with computers, tablets, software, and electronic equipment.
- Ability to learn and understand new technology quickly.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to explain technical information in a way customers can easily understand.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing quality customer support.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations and work in the field when needed.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Case IH or agricultural equipment experience is a plus.
